Dal 16 al 20 gennaio #Wikigender ospita una discussione online sul tema ‘Affrontare gli stereotipi di genere in classe: come realizzare un ambiente favorevole per l’apprendimento delle adolescenti?

in collaborazione con #Unesco, Consiglio d’Europa #Coe, Forum per le donne africane pedagogiste #Fawe, Partnership globale per l’Educazione e Iniziativa educativa per le ragazze delle Nazioni Unite Girls #Ungei. La discussione è l’occasione per: condividere nuove prove sul ruolo dell’istruzione nel raggiungimento della parità di genere e nel cambiare le norme sociali; scambiare le migliori pratiche e individuare le strategie su come gli stereotipi di genere possono essere affrontati in ambito scolastico per garantire che le adolescenti siano dotate delle giuste competenze e mentalità per migliorare la loro vita; creare un forum per facilitare gli scambi, sinergie e condivisione delle informazioni e sul tema.
La discussione si concluderà con un webinar di un’ora, venerdì 20 gennaio (ore 15) in cui gli esperti risponderennao ad eventuali domande in tempo reale. Interverranno: Nihan Blanchy-Koseleci (Gem, Unesco); Liri Kopaçi-Di Michele (Consiglio d’Europa); e Nora Fyles (Ungei).

From 16-20 January Wikigender is hosting an online discussion on the theme ‘Addressing gender stereotypes in the classroom: how to achieve a conducive environment for adolescent girls’ learning?’ in partnership with #Unesco, the Council of Europe #Coe, the Forum for African Women Educationalists #Fawe, the Global Partnership for Education and the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative #Ungei. The discussion is an opportunity to: share new evidence on the role of education in achieving gender equality and in changing social norms; exchange best practices and identify strategies on how gender stereotypes can be addressed in the school environment to ensure that adolescent girls are equipped with the right skills and mind-set to improve their lives; create a forum to facilitate exchanges, synergies and information-sharing and on the topic. The discussion will conclude with a webinar, friday 20 January (3pm). This will be an opportunity to hear directly from the experts, who will be available to answer any questions and to debate in real time.  The webinar will last one hour and will be streamed live in this page. Speakers will include: Nihan Blanchy-Koseleci (GEM Report team, UNESCO); Liri Kopaçi-Di Michele (Council of Europe); and Nora Fyles (UNGEI) .
